Bowling

Even though Bowling is not an Olympic-type sport, it is one of the popular sport offered in Special Olympics Singapore.

The athlete will acquire basic bowling skills, appropriate social behaviour and functional knowledge of the rules to enable him / her to successfully participate in a regulation or modified game of bowling. It develops gross motor skills, enhances self-esteem, develops appropriate socialization skills and improves fitness.

Training Schedule

Day : Mondays / Tuesdays / Wednesdays (Learn To Bowl) / Thursdays
Time : 5:00pm - 7:00pm (Mondays) / 5:30pm - 7:30pm (Tuesdays) / Learn To Bowl - 5:00pm - 7:00pm (Wednesdays) / 7:00pm - 9:00pm (Thursdays)
Venue : J Forte @ Kovan (Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays) / Serangoon Gardens Country Club (Thursdays)
Participants : 8 years old & above

Canon Bowlinks Competiton

6 of our athletes took part in the Canon Bowlinks competition on 7 May 2014.


Our athletes competed against athletes from other special ed schools as well as experienced bowlers from Bowling Association for the Disabled (BADS) and the 2 teams was placed 2nd and 7th respectively.


This is the second time Special Olympics Singapore have won 2nd place for the competition. Congratulations to all participating athletes.

Community Games Bowling Tournament

2 of our athletes, Muhammad Farhan and Reuben Khanal competed in the Community Games Bowling Tournament on 13 April 2014. They represented the Yio Chu Kang CSC and team up with other bowlers from the same district in this event. One of the teams which our athletes has partnered with emerged as Chapions for CG Central Singapore. It was a remarkable feat considering the number of teams that took part in the event.


We would like to thank People's Association and Yio Chu Kang CSC for allowing our athletes to compete in the event.
